Mini - play by G. Czarnik
POLISH NARRATOR:
Dwa rody równe odziane godnością,
W pięknej Weronie gdzie przebiega sztuka,
Gniew dawny nową podsycają złością,
I krew szlachetna dłonie szlachty bruka.

LADY CAPULET: But my child, Paris, from the Prince’s family asked for your hand!
JULIET:...and make mess, and want babies, and...
LADY CAPULET:.. and buy their wives dresses and shoes and jewellery..

(do Romea i Julii): Hey you, the party is over!
Everybody goes home. Except for Romeo who sneaks into the Capulet’s garden. He waits for his Juliet to appear on the balcony. Finally, they will be able to... confess their love.
ROMEO:
Lecz cicho!
Scene 6
ROMEO: Juliet!
(Julia wychodzi na balkon)
JULIET: Who’s there?
ROMEO: Your Romeo!
JULIET: Who?
ROMEO: It’s me
(literuje) R-O-M-E-O!
NEIGHBOUR: Shut up, I’m trying to watch “M jak miłość” here! Hanka is going to die today.
ROMEO: Oh dear, in the afternoon you looked prettier.
JULIET: It is a mask!
ROMEO: Take this vegetable off your eyes!
JULIET: I’m not sure I want to see you.
ROMEO: I bet you do! I was Mister of Poland 1996!
JULIET: Ok. So why did you come here?
ROMEO: Because I love you, even with cucumber on your eyes!
JULIET: Cool! I like you too! Why do our families hate each other?
ROMEO: Because your grandfather’s uncle’s mother’s sister stole my grandmother’s brother’s wife’s spoon in the seventeenth century. But I want to be with you. We must keep it a secret. I will find a way for us to be together. I will call you tomorrow.
JULIET: Ok, but not at eight, “Na Wspólnej” starts then.
NARRATOR: Romeo and Juliet promise each other a lot of things, lovers usually do. The next day Romeo runs to his friend and confessor Friar Lawrence.
FRIAR LAWRENCE:
Scene 7
ROMEO: Morning, Lawrence, I need you to help me.
FRIAR LAWRENCE: No, no, you still owe me five hundred dollars, remember?
ROMEO: I don’t want money from you, I want to marry...
FRIAR LAWRENCE: … thanks, I’m not interested, I prefer being single..
ROMEO: Not you! Juliet!
FRIAR LAWRENCE: Who is Juliet?
ROMEO: The most gorgeous woman I have met so far.
FRIAR LAWRENCE: Ok, tomorrow, five in the morning.
ROMEO: So early? Have mercy...
FRIAR LAWRENCE: We do worse things for love!
ROMEO: Ok then.
NARRATOR: So, Romeo and Juliet marry in secret and then things get complicated. Tybalt – Juliet’s cousin kills Romeo’s friend Mercutio so Romeo kills Tybalt. As a punishment the prince tells him to get the hell out of Verona. Julia is having second thoughts about the marriage to a person who goes on killing her family members but in the end love wins and the lovers spend their wedding night together. (zwraca się do widowni) No scene here. Ok, the morning scene.
JULIET: You’re going already?
ROMEO: I’ll call you. Where the devil is left shoe? And haven’t you see my wallet?
JULIET: No, I haven’t. See you darling.
ROMEO: Goodbye dear.
Chicuitita by ABBA
NARRATOR: Romeo went to Mantua and Juliet is supposed to marry Paris but she doesn’t like the idea of bigamy so she runs to Friar Lawrence who has a plan how to reunite them.
FRIAR LAWRENCE: Zabierz ten flakonik,
całe twe ciało chłód i ociężałość
Puls twój zakończy przyrodzone bicie
Ustanie oddech, ciało twe ostygnie
I nic nie będzie świadczyło że żyjesz
FRIAN LAWRENCE: Don’t worry, my child I have here some very good stuff, the best you can get. You will drink it and everyone will think that you are dead. We will organise a nice funeral, put you into the crypt and when you wake up you can join your Romeo and live long and happily ever after. I will call Romeo and tell him all about it. A thousand dollars, please.
(Julia płaci i bierze flakonik)
NARRATOR: So far everything goes according to plan. Julia drinks the potion, appears to be dead, is laid to rest in the family crypt but Romeo doesn’t answer his phone (voice mail is on) so he just hears that Juliet is dead. He is devastated. He decides to kill himself too, at Juliet’s grave. A perfect solution! He runs back to Verona and goes to the crypt. Meanwhile Paris, the ex-future husband also goes to Juliet’s grave. With flowers.
PARIS:
O kwiecie, kwiaty na twe łoże znoszę
Skryte pod stropem z prochu i kamienia
Które w noc każdą wonna wodą roszę
A z nią nie płyną łzy me i wspomnienia.
ROMEO: I’m sorry but I will have to kill you.
PARIS: I’m not.
(Romeo i Paris walczą. Romeo zabija Parisa.)
PARIS: I’m dead!
ROMEO: I said I was sorry!
NARRATOR: Romeo enters the crypt and sees Juliet who seems to be quite dead. He can’t imagine life without her, (zwraca się do widowni): he has always had poor imagination, so he drinks the poison and dies by her side. Immediately, after that Juliet wakes up and sees Romeo who is dead.
JULIET: Romeo, hey Romeo (potrząsa nim) wake up! Are you dead or something? Oh, you are! How could you do that to me?
Fernando by ABBA
JULIET: How can I live in this world without you? I’ll have to do the same! And you promised we’ll make all important decisions together!
(podnosi nóż i zadaje sobie śmiertelny cios)
NARRATOR: So, Romeo and Juliet prefer to kill themselves rather than be separated. So romantic and tragic.
(płacze, wyciera łzy chusteczką) As a result, the Capulets and Montagues decide to stop fighting. Better late than never!
POLISH NARRATOR:
Posępną zgodę ten ranek nam wieści.
Słońce z żałości skryło się, choć dnieje.
Bo nie słyszano dotąd opowieści
Smutnej jak Julii i Romea dzieje.
